The best console commands in Cyberpunk 2077

The best console commands in Cyberpunk 2077

Once you’ve unlocked the power of console commands, almost any item or resource in Cyberpunk 2077 is available at your whim. There are a few caveats — attempting to cheat for a legendary or iconic weapon may result in a weaker version determined by your current level, and items related to specific quests might end up unusable in your inventory — but those limitations on your freedom are surprisingly few.

With almost every item in the game up for grabs, it can be hard to decide where to start. Maybe you already have something specific in mind, but if you’re looking for inspiration, here are a few recommendations to get you started.

Gain endless amounts of money

Let’s face it: if real life had console command cheats, this is the one most people would use first. It’s also the one that tends to get used a lot in video games belonging to otherwise very different genres, giving us all something to bond over.

This gloriously simple cheat just requires you to ask for an item named “money”, and then plug in the amount you want. So, for example, netting yourself $€250,000 of sweet Night City lucre is as simple as entering the following command into the console using one of the container formulas above:

Items.money,250000. Not a bad day’s work for a quarter of a million, right?

Johnny Silverhand was an icon long before Cyberpunk 2077 was even released. Between the character’s legendary history in the lore of the original tabletop game, and the highly publicised fact that he’s portrayed in 2077 by Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves, even people who were consciously avoiding spoilers went into the game knowing at least a little bit about the guy.

The idea of a playable Keanu Reeves-as-Johnny Silverhand was never on the cards, though some players are still not over the disappointment they felt when they learned he wouldn’t be a potential love interest for V either. What you could do, though, is show your icon how much he means to you by dressing in an exact replica of his outfit, including his iconic custom pistol. He probably won’t find that creepy at all.

Just plug the following item strings into the command container in the console and you’ll have your very own instant Johnny Silverhand cosplay!

Note: All of these items are also available to gain legitimately through side-quests, so you don’t need to cheat to get them. But there’s an undeniable charm to the idea of turning up to your first meeting with Johnny Silverhand already dressed exactly like him, isn’t there? Again, super not creepy.

Put some respec on your name with a free Tabula e-Rasa shard

Respeccing V in-game is limited to redistributing their perk points, and even this isn’t an easy process. In the normal course of things, giving V even this partial respec requires you to have a spare $€100,000 handy that you don’t mind parting with in exchange for a Tabula e-Rasa, which can be bought from any ripperdoc.

The Tabula e-Rasa is a datashard and, incidentally, currently the only consumable in the game with the legendary rarity. Between this and its powerful effect, the price tag is understandable; but if you play by the rules, you’re probably not going to be able to justify the cost to yourself until quite late into the game, which is a bit annoying.

Once again, console commands are here to save the day, as entering the following cheat string into the console command container will deposit as many Tabula e-Rasas as you want directly into V’s inventory:

Items.PerkPointsResetter. You can then consume as normal to allow you to redistribute all V’s perk points; though unfortunately there’s nothing you can do to reset their skill points for now.
